ATime-Keepers

The three Time-Keepers are said to have ended the multiversal war and created the TVA. Almost nobody has seen them; their orders arrive through the judges. They were animatronics, built by He Who Remains to give the TVA a face.

BJudges

Judges are the highest authority most employees will ever meet. They preside over variant trials, sign off on every prune and receive reports from analysts and Hunters. Senior judges also oversee the Minutemen's operations and decide which cases are closed.

Duties
  • Try variants and decide whether they are reset or pruned.
  • Authorise prunes and reset charge deployments.
  • Review reports from analysts and Hunters.

CHunters & Minutemen

Minutemen are the TVA's armoured field soldiers. They step through Time Doors, capture variants and plant reset charges before a branch can grow. Their squad leaders are Hunters, identified by a letter and a number rather than a name: B-15, C-20, X-5.

Duties
  • Capture variants and bring them back for trial.
  • Deploy reset charges and confirm the branch is gone.
  • Report anomalies seen in the field to analysts and judges.
FIELD NOTE

Hunters work with a two-officer rule for every prune (M-02). A Hunter who goes missing in the field is presumed compromised until a judge says otherwise.

DAgents & Analysts

Agents investigate. They study a variant's history in the Time Theater, follow patterns across the timeline and advise judges and Hunters on where a variant will strike next. The best of them specialise in dangerous variants.

Duties
  • Monitor branches and file case reports.
  • Interview variants and present evidence at trial.
  • Help Minutemen and judges keep the timeline stable.

ETime-Keepers' Guard

Elite Minutemen in ceremonial armour who guard the Time-Keepers' chamber and escort the judges. On a judge's order they also detain TVA employees awaiting review (J-04). Full detail in File 2.2.

On duty in the chamber
  • Speak only when addressed; the chamber is silent during proceedings.
  • Hold every post in pairs.
  • Shields stay raised whenever a high-energy anomaly is reported.

FClerks & Intake

Nothing at the TVA happens without paperwork. Clerks register arrivals, confiscate belongings, process trial filings and keep the records that let the Authority prove what happened and when. Intake is the first desk every variant sees.

Duties
  • Process new arrivals and their property.
  • Keep case records and trial paperwork in order.
  • Pass communication between departments.

GRepairs & Advancement

The engineers. Repairs & Advancement maintain TemPads, Time Doors, reset charges and the machines that keep the TVA running, and write the manuals that explain how to use them. Full detail in File 5.1.
